One of this season’s hottest trends is bold brights and if I’m being honest I wasn’t crazy about this trend at first. If you’ve been reading my blog or watching my YouTube videos for a while now then you know I wear a lot of neutral tones mostly consisting of grays, ivories, beiges, and of course black, white, and denim. However, after wearing a few fun and bright colors lately, I’ll have to admit I love it!
Wearing bright colors makes me feel happy and more youthful and most importantly confident which is why you’ll be seeing me wearing more color. How about you? Do you love wearing colors or do you tend to stick to more neutral tones like me? Well, if you’re willing to give wearing these gorgeous bold colors a whirl this season then keep scrolling because I’m wearing bold brights in the following 6 looks and they’re all so perfect for spring!
PS – Make sure to scroll all the way down to check out look 6 because it’s a truly STUNNING green midi dress and it’s under $100! It would be so perfect to wear to a spring wedding!
SHOP MY LOOK:
PINK MIDI SKIRT (ON SALE MAKING IT UNDER $40):
I absolutely adore this skirt! It looks far more expensive than it really is and the fabric has a sparkle to it that is fantastic! It comes in a ribbed material and is high-waisted so it is very slimming. This skirt comes in several equally fabulous colors besides the pink to complete any spring ensemble.
SIMILAR PINK MIDI SKIRT:
This Borderline Knit Wrap Midi Skirt from FREE PEOPLE is a pretty decent dupe to the Open Edit version I’m wearing. It is made from similar material, very close in color but also has a wrap detail that makes it a little different! It is under $100 and fully stocked in case you can’t find your size in the skirt above.
BLUE VERONICA BEARD BLAZER:
I LOVE this blazer, it’s called the Miller jacket and it’s one of Veronica Beard’s signature styles. It is hands-down my favorite spring jacket because of the gorgeous bold color. It is very slimming and fits exactly how a well structured blazer should fit. I’m wearing a size 00, but this jacket runs a bit big IMO so size down one size when purchasing. It also comes in black and white if you want to rock your bold brights in the form of a bodysuit instead!
This bold blue blazer from Express is a similar option for less that is so chic and fun. It comes from the Conscious Edit line that is a sustainable collection dedicated to a better tomorrow for people and the planet. That means that this blazer has the bonus of being made with 70% plant based fibers! Good for your budget AND the planet!
GREEN MINI DRESS:
I feel like this green Arden ruched long sleeve shirtdress from CINQ À SEPT is the perfect dress for spring. It’s a slightly understated shade of green, so it would be a perfect starter piece for someone who traditionally doesn’t wear bold brights but wants to try out this trend. It is also SO comfortable, you can wear it at your desk all day long and then out to dinner without skipping a beat. I find it fits true to size and I’m wearing an XS.

BLUE MIDI DRESS:
I can’t get over this shade of blue, it is just so lovely! The cut of the dress is very slimming and you can wear it like I have or crisscrossed in the front like the model; I love it both ways. This dress would be perfect to wear to a spring wedding or on a date night. I’m wearing an XS for size reference.
SHOP THE LOOK (JACKET IS UNDER $100):
LAVENDAR FAUX LEATHER JACKET:
Another great way to tip-toe into this bold color trend is try opting for a softer color like this gorgeous lavender jacket by BLANKNYC. It has MAJOR spring vibes but is still in that comfort zone of muted tones and shades. It certainly doesn’t hurt that it retails for under $100 so you can give this trend a try without a huge investment. I’m wearing an XS in this beautiful spring must-have.
GREEN MIDI DRESS (UNDER $100:
Green is SUCH a hot color this season, I am literally seeing it everywhere! The Shailene Mesh Long Sleeve Midi Dress from AFRM in fern green will have you feeling fabulous and effortlessly on trend. The gauzy mesh overlay styled with a slip dress lining and high neckline create a lovely slimming silhouette and the price point under $100 makes it a great value. It also comes in 4 other colors & patterns, I’m wearing a XS for size reference.
