Did you know that physical activity has a huge potential to enhance our wellbeing? Even a short burst of 10 minutes’ brisk walking can increase our mental alertness and over all energy, reduce stress and anxiety and even increase our self-esteem!
I work-out to not only look like the best version of myself but it helps me feel better too! I’ll be turning 49 this November and it’s harder than ever to stay in shape, but I believe that a variety of work-outs have worked best for me. I’ve been doing 3 routines specifically in the last few years that I absolutely swear by and all of them have made a difference in my physical and mental wellbeing. MY TOP 3 WORKOUT REGIMENS THAT HELP ME STAY IN SHAPE:
1. HOT YOGA: I practice hot yoga 3 times a week at Pure Yoga Dallas it’s 105 degrees 90 minutes and it has changed my life, it not only keeps me in shape but it also helps me mentally – I literally feel like a million dollars after completing the class, because you sweat so much (like you just stepped out of the shower) you release toxins and rejuvenate every single cell in your body. It also helps me mentally by helping me find my center and giving me a peaceful frame of mind. I’ve been practicing this hot yoga for 15 years and it is life-changing.
2. TRACY ANDERSON WORKOUTS: I’ve been doing Tracy Anderson workouts for about 3 years and I can tell a big difference in terms of how toned I am, especially my arms and my thighs. I do this 3 times a week and use light weights which is important to be mindful of as we age. It’s important to note that lifting weights is a vital part of a workout regimen as we age to prevent osteoporosis and arthritis. She has 3 levels you can do and I usually do the Intermediate, it only takes 30 minutes and I can do it in my bedroom so it’s quick and easy.
3. NINETY20: I practice this incredible 20-minute workout which is actually the equivalent of working out for 90 minutes (hence the name) once a week and I have seen amazing results! You basically wear this vibrating suit while working out with a personal trainer and you burn roughly 500 calories in just 20 minutes! It’s like doing a high-intensity gym class but instead of taking up an hour of your time it literally only takes 20 minutes. My body seems tighter and I just look more toned overall. If you’re looking to try something new that will help you look and feel fabulous I highly recommend giving this a try!

COMMANDO WORKOUT TOP:
