Mojgan Hashemian is a part-time lecturer at the University of Hull. Currently, she is teaching data science to the amazing students of Aura CTD.
Earlier, she joined GAIPS-Lab in September 2015 to collaborate with the RAGE project. In this project, they are developing an asset to enhance the social skills of non-player characters. More specifically, they are working to empower the agents by adding Social Power dynamics in their decision-making processes.
In September 2014, she received her master’s degree in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics with an emphasis on Affective Computing from the University of Tehran, Iran. During her master’s, her research aimed at improving Human experience with Computers by developing adaptive systems with regard to the affective state of the human user.
Earlier, she received her B.Sc. in Computer Hardware Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in September 2010. As her B.Sc. thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Nasser Mozayyani, they updated the conventional Neocognitron ANN by extending it to the complex space.
Her main research interests are Affective Computing, User Modeling, Human-Robot Interaction, Intelligent Games.
